CULTURE RECOVERY FUND GRANT FOR THE ROALD DAHL MUSEUM AND STORY CENTRE
Describing the Arts Council Culture Recovery Fund Grant for the Roald Dahl Museum as a “very welcome boost for a much-loved centre”, Rt Hon Dame Cheryl Gillan MP said that it was well-earned and reflects the hard work of all the staff and volunteers involved.
“ Great Missenden was the place where Roald Dahl put pen to paper and created endless enjoyment for the countless children who have loved his books ever since,” said Dame Cheryl. “ That legacy is carried on by the Museum and Story Centre.”
The Arts Council has granted £157,272 to the Museum.
“ Above all, “ said Dame Cheryl, the MP for Chesham and Amersham, “this grant will ultimately go to help the young children who have gone through lockdown and being parted from friends in their own age group. It will help to make the Museum and Story Centre more sustainable after so many of its usual activities had to be put on hold.”
