The All Party Parliamentary Groups are a way that parliamentarians can work across the political divides to influence and change policy on important areas. They also act as a prime liaison point between various sectors and parliament and are now regulated to increase transparency.
Today in the House of Commons, Rt Hon Cheryl Gillan MP called for an emergency debate on HS2 Ltd at Business Questions – which sets out the Parliamentary timetable for what is likely to be the final week of this Parliament before the General Election.
Rt Hon Cheryl Gillan, MP for Chesham & Amersham was called early in the debate on Article 50 and spoke in support of the legislation to obtain Parliamentary consent to start the formal process of the UK leaving the European Union.
The DWP Minister Caroline Nokes MP made a statement on Monday 30 January on the reorganization of the Job Centre properties currently occupied by the Department of Wok and Pensions. Mrs Gillan had received a letter informing her of the proposed change at the close of the previous week.
