The National Council for Voluntary Organisations - No Deal Brexit (11 September 2019)

Yesterday, The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) published guidance on how charities can make sure they can be prepared for no-deal.

Despite the passing of the EU (Withdrawal) (No. 2) Act, a no-deal Brexit is still a possible outcome, so they are encouraging charities to think about what they need to do to be ready.

In particular the guidance contains information on what charities should be thinking about in relation to:

• EU nationals in the UK
• Household costs, imports and medication
• Economic impact and what that means for charities
• EU funding
• Volunteering
• State aid
• Product, environmental and data standards

The guidance is available here:

https://publications.ncvo.org.uk/no-deal-brexit-and-voluntary-sector/?_…

NCVO has previously set out their concerns about the impact of a no-deal Brexit on charities, which can be found below:

https://blogs.ncvo.org.uk/2019/02/27/the-dangers-of-a-no-deal-brexit/

And have called for specific funding to enable charities to deal with any increased demand in the aftermath of a no-deal Brexit.
