Brexit Update (Friday 27 September)

I have always believed that debate should be respectful and do not support or tolerate aggressive or threatening or insulting language or behaviour in the House of Commons or from any other individuals. Sadly the standards of exchange have deteriorated and I very much hope that the recent highlighting of this will result in a return to more civilised exchanges.

This I hope would also extend to those people that e mail, post on twitter or Facebook who have been making unimaginably appalling and frightening threats to Members of Parliament and their families and staff.

I continue to support the Government in the hope that the PM can bring back a deal that can be agreed in the House of Commons. If the matter of Brexit can be resolved perhaps the temperature of exchanges will lower. I think we would all welcome that outcome.

Thank you for your thoughts and comments.
